Dan Horn delivers a message on the Sabbath Day from Nehemiah 13:15-22.

I agree with this Sermon, and it is very important, but Sunday still is not the Lord's Sabbath. Where does that leave us if we still try to change the days and set times? All arguments for a Sunday as the Lord's day fall very flat on close analysis and study. As it stands our family Sabbath rest on the set day, but meet with other believers for praise and teaching on a Sunday, but don't confuse the two days.

What a great message Dan. It was really inspiring to hear about all aligning our lives with that of the Sabbath. However, I must disagree with you on one point. You constantly keep saying, "On Sunday... " and "On the Sabbath ...." In every instance Bible, in both the new and old testaments, the Sabbath is Saturday. This is clear as bell and not changed in the NT. Take EVERY instance of the resurrection in the Gospels, they all state the same as we see in Matthew 28 "After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb." - Matthew 28 NIV Now, if Jesus was raised from the dead on Sunday, and Sunday is "after the Sabbath" and "the first day of the week" it must be that the Sabbath is Sat. So while I am encouraged about what you said, I am saddened by the blatant change of expository preaching. When we preach in an Expository preaching style, we are to reveal what God is saying to us and not what we want the text to say. As you said in the message, "we are rejecting the love of GOD by violating the Sabbath." Changing what day of the week we practice it is violating the Sabbath. Otherwise, we will seeing the "1st Church of the Convenient Time" or "Fourth Day Adventists." I encourage you to dive into the scriptures and see that the Biblical Sabbath is sundown Friday to sundown Sat. in both the Old and New Testaments. In His Grace - Douglas
