Memorial Day Picnic - May 31, 2010

This is a day to say "THANK YOU" to those who served our country and gave their lives for our freedom and to celebrate the providence of God in our nation's history.

Every Memorial Day, our church sponsors an old fashioned Memorial Day Celebration for the whole community where we honor veterans and give glory to God for His providential acts in history. Our church serves a free lunch and prays that people will bring their friends and relatives who served our nation in the armed services.

We believe that Memorial Day offers our church a unique oportunity to reach out to our community to rebuild a culture of honor and to preach the gospel to many people that would not attend any other event.

Join us on Monday, May 31st at the Brown Family Farm for a day of honor, games, jeep rides, patriotic speeches, music, great food, and wonderful fellowship. This is a rain or shine celebration held under a large tent. Don't forget to bring lawn chairs. Donations appreciated.

Visit Doug's Blog for a delightful report of a past Memorial Day celebration.
