| About Us | Covenant Baptist Church is a new church plant south of Atlanta, north of Macon. The purpose of Covenant Baptist Church (CBC) is to glorify the God of the Scriptures by maintaining and promoting His worship both individually and corporately, by edifying His saints, and by evangelizing sinners. Therefore, we are committed to the proclamation of God's perfect Law and of the glorious Gospel of His grace through all the world, to the defense of that "faith which was once delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3), and to the pure and faithful celebration of the sacraments of the Covenant. Our absolute standard of authority is the Word of God (Sola Scriptura). CBC is covenantal and confessional based on the 1689 London Confession of Faith. CBC is committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ over the home, the church, and the civil government. Therefore, as the pillar and ground of the truth we seek to disciple believers to defend and advance the faith committed to our trust. CBC is committed to the family and recognizes that the church is a family of families. Our governmental structure is set up as a republic of families governed by elders under the Lordship of Christ. We are committed to homeschooling as the parents have been given authority by God over the training and education of their children. We seek a true movement of God Spirit in man's heart, life, and society - regeneration, revival, and reformation. |
