| About Us | Our mission is to bring glory to God and our Lord, Jesus Christ, by:
• Keeping God at the center of all we do
o Reverencing the Lord (Deuteronomy 10:12, Acts 10:35)
o Loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:32-4)
• Manifesting the love of Jesus Christ
o Loving our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31, John 13:34)
• Being led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14)
• Carrying out the “great commission” (Matthew 28:18-20)
o Making disciples
o Baptizing them
o Teaching them to do all that Jesus commanded them to do (John 14:21)
CORE VALUES AND MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY:
• Exalting Jesus (Psalm 18:46, Acts 5:31): We desire to decrease so that Jesus may increase in our midst. We are not a “man” centered or “man” glorifying work.
• Worship in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24): Focused on pleasing God (not man) in corporate worship. Not led or bound by tradition or cultural factors.
• Prayer: All members individually practicing it and the church devoted to it (1 Thess 5:17).
• Every member ministry: All members engaged in active service within and without the church in accordance with the gifts God has given to them (Romans 12:6-8). Become “ambassadors for Christ” as we live and work in the world (2 Corinthians 5:20) and minister through hospitality (1 Peter 4:9, Hebrews 13:1-3).
• Age Integration: Enable young and old, as well as whole-family participation, in worship, learning and ministry service (Mark 10:13-14; Deut. 31:12; Matthew 28:19,20), in an environment where the younger can learn from the older, more mature believers (Titus 2:3-4). Encourage multi-generational followers of Christ.
• Godly families: Fathers, mothers and children honoring God and each other by fulfilling their God given roles as they live together in love (Ephesians 5:22-6:4). Families committed to worshipping together, engaging in spiritual discipleship and developing the full potential of their homes.
• Christian education: Teaching God’s truth and principles whenever possible (Deuteronomy 6:6-7), according to the parents’ direction (Galatians 4:1-3).
• God honoring music: Through new and old “…Psalms, hymns and Spiritual songs”; emphasizing worship, not performance, and encouraging one another (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16).
• Generosity: Helping the poor and others in need such as the persecuted saints (Galatians 2:7-10), especially those of the household of faith (Galatians 6:10, 2 Corinthians 9:12), as well as the widows and orphans (James 1:27). Promoting the spread of the gospel into all nations (Matthew 28:19).
• Unity amongst diversity (John 17:21-23, Ephesians 4:1-6): Loving fellowship in one accord (Acts 2:46, 15:25, Philippians 2:2) while applying God’s truth. Affirming, valuing and respecting cultural differences and all ethnicities (Galatians 3:28) |
